It is another big weekend in the sport of professional wrestling, this time, WWE takes centerstage. It is the annual Thanksgiving tradition, the Survivor Series. This time, there is a wrinkle as there was last year. No more traditional tag team matches; instead, War Games will settle the score.
The Survivor Series will be live in Chicago, Illinois, and you know there is speculation about CM Punk returning to WWE. We know Randy Orton is coming back, but there have been subtle signs about Punk returning. However, WWE denies he is coming back.
Survivor Series War Games has been built well on both the men’s and women’s side of things. We have Judgment Day with Drew McIntyre taking on Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, Seth Rollins, and Randy Orton. This should be a great match. On the women’s side, Damage CTRL taking on Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, and Shotzi. Again, there is some intrigue, especially on the Damage CTRL side and where Bayley fits in now.
Plus, we have a couple of championship matches on the card as well. This year’s Survivor Series War Games is shaping up to be a really good show. Let’s take a look at some of the betting favourites that are expected to emerge victorious in the night’s biggest bouts.

WWE Survivor Series War Games Odds via BetOnline:
- Men’s War Games Match: Judgment Day and Drew McIntyre (+190) vs. Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, Seth Rollins, and Randy Orton (-300)
This will be an excellent match. We know the story with Jey Uso and the whole dynamic with Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre. And the reason why Drew turned heel is because of Jey’s past with the Bloodline. Though he has not joined the Judgement Day, he has aligned himself with them in order to get revenge on the babyfaces. With Orton coming back, can you trust the Viper to do the right thing here? He will get an excellent pop for the War Games match. There is a lot of bad blood that needs to be settled. The odds have the babyfaces favored to win despite not having the man advantage. Does Judgement Day need the win? Yes, but it feels like that group will soon break up because of this loss.
- Women’s War Games Match: Damage CTRL (-150) vs. Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, and Shotzi (+100)
Again Damage CTRL really needs a win here. The question is do they turn on Bayley? Even with Io having the title, the group does not feel that intimidating anymore, if they ever did. There are a lot of big names in this one. Io Sky has been in every single women’s War Games match. That is pretty remarkable, to be honest. Can we expect bitter rivals to get along in Charlotte, Becky, and Bianca? And where does Shotzi fit into this mix? It feels like it will be Damage CTRL’s night.
- WWE Intercontinental Championship: Gunther (c) (-715) vs. The Miz (+400)
This should be a good match between two good champions. The Miz reestablished this title a while back and Gunther has taken it to another level. Expect the title reign to continue here for Gunther. It may last until WrestleMania. But the champion was not a fan of the Miz growing up and watching WWE, so the Miz embodies what WWE was in the early 2010s. It is the Entertainer vs the Pro Wrestler for the workhorse title.
- WWE Women’s World Championship: Rhea Ripley (c) (1-425) vs. Zoey Stark (+550)
This is a mismatch on paper. Rhea should keep the title here as the leader of the Judgment Day. Even though her role on TV is more of a leader and not a champion, she will look good against Zoey Stark. Stark is a good opponent. She is strong and has the ability to match power with Ripley. But in the end, Ripley will find a way like she always does.
In addition to these four matches, Santos Escobar (-300) will battle Carlito (+200) in a grudge match. Escobar turned heel on Rey Mysterio and LWO and Carlito is looking for revenge after what Santos did at Crown Jewel. This should be a good match, with Santos winning.
And do not forget the little nugget of CM Punk. Does he return? They are in Chicago, after all. Have to tune in to find out.
