It is Thursday and you know what that means and the ratings for AEW Dynamite are out. We have entered a new era for All Elite Wrestling. It has been dubbed the “Rated R Era.” The build towards World End is ongoing with the Continental Classic on AEW Dynamite and Collision. It was another excellent show. Let’s dive into this week’s rating to see how the show did.
AEW Dynamite In Range For Viewership
AEW Dynamite was live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The main event of the night was for the TNT Championship between Christian Cage and Adam Copeland. Christian Cage has made the TNT Championship important again. And what a main event it was. And if you were listening to the Full Press Wrestling Podcast, you heard us predict the finish to this match.
There were great segments involving AEW World Champion MJF, Samoa Joe, Hangman Adam Page, and the Devil. Who is the Devil? It is MJF? Is it someone else? Great programming the way they are building this toward World’s End in NY.
Also there were great matches involving Jon Moxley, Rush, Jay White, Swerve Strickland, Mark Briscoe in the Continental Classic. Not to mention a great encounter between Swerve and Moxley setting up their match next week at Winter is Coming. Timeless Toni Storm and Sky Blue had a great match for the AEW Women’s Title. We saw the return of Riho. Another great and entertaining show with a PPV quality main event.
AEW is getting back to their roots whether it is popular or not, whether it makes money or not, they are going to do things their own way.
The December 6th edition of AEW Dynamite week’s show was viewed by 823,000 people and did a .25 in the 18-49 demo.

The viewership and demo were down from the previous week. AEW Dynamite is in a good place. The numbers are what the numbers are and they are in their zone. The company has it hard core audience. That is what they will get. Maybe one day they hit the million mark again. But then again TV numbers are down year over year.
As always AEW Dynamite trailed the NBA in the Sports Charts. Stay Tuned for them.
