We are heading into the home stretch for AEW as one of the Big Four PPVs is upon us. AEW Full Gear is here as they head to the Fabulous Forum in the city of Angels, Los Angeles, California. Tony Khan has announced a major signing at the event on Saturday, saying he has signed one of the best wrestlers in the world. Speculation is running rampant from names like Mercedes Mone to Will Ospreay.
While some continue to complain about monthly PPVs for AEW, they are successful for the company. Just look at WrestleDream. Fans and others may question the build to the event and even some of the matches, but the show always delivers. Expect Full Gear to deliver on Saturday as well.
The way Full Gear is being built up, there are a lot of rivalry matches on the card. Orange Cassidy versus Jon Moxley, Timeless Toni Storm taking on Hikaru Shida, MJF and Jay White and let’s not forget the Young Bucks taking on Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho. Not to mention the personal rivalry between Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland.
AEW has really moved forward from the CM Punk debacle, however, speculation is swirling it could be him in the Devil mask; we will see. But that being said, we are only a couple of days from AEW Full Gear. Let’s take a look at some of the betting favourites that are expected to emerge victorious in the night’s biggest bouts.

AEW Full Gear Odds via BetOnline:
- AEW World Championship: MJF (c) (-1000) vs. Jay White (+400)
The main event of the evening will see MJF back out pulling double duty. MJF the rightful champion had his belt stolen by Jay White of Bullet Club Gold. White is claiming the MJF is the Devil and the fans should not fall for his act. MJF is playing the baby face role. But when the initial challenge was made, White got beat up by men in Devil’s masks. MJF and White have been going back and forth on the mic, with the faction getting the better of MJF on each occasion as the champion looked to get his title back. Now there is no running for Jay White as the champion will look to ride even higher heading towards Worlds End.
- Texas Death Match: Hangman Adam Page (-333) vs. Swerve Strickland (+280)
This match is truly a grudge match between two men who have been building something over the last couple of months. Things got taken to a personal level with Swerve invading Hangman’s house and Hangman cutting the ultimate babyface promo on Swerve this past week on Dynamite. Strickland got the best of Hangman Adam Page at WrestleDream, but now they are in Hangman’s type of match. And Adam Page has not lost one of these matches. Expect this to be a bloody personal war. Don’t be surprised if there is another match to follow.

CM Punk and Randy Orton Return To WWE as Momentum Swings
by Full Press Coverage on December 7, 2023 at 1:00 pm
- AEW International Title: Orange Cassidy (c) (+120) vs. Jon Moxley (-175)
This match is personal for Orange Cassidy because Jon Moxley is the one who stopped Cassidy’s first title reign as International Champion. Even though Cassidy regained the title, he wanted to regain it from Moxley. And it was Cassidy who had been the antagonist in this whole mess. Moxley gave him the respect he deserved, but now respect went out the window. It made sense to beat Cassidy at All Out, and it makes sense again. We truly did not see his reign because he got hurt during his match with Rey Fenix. Either way expect someone to bleed in this match.
- AEW Women’s Championship: Hikaru Shida (c) (+190) vs. “Timeless” Toni Storm (-333)
The best thing going outside of MJF is “Timeless” Toni Storm. Strom lost it after she lost the title to Shida prior to All In. Now Toni Storm is portraying a movie starlet heading home for her theatrical masterpiece. Even though Shida lost the title, she got it back thanks to Toni Storm during a match with Saraya. Now these two are on a collision course. Like with the previous match, the books like Storm to win the title for a third title. It would be unfortunate as Shida deserves a long run as champion.
- Number One Contenders Tag Team Match: Golden Jets (Chris Jericho/Kenny Omega) (-500) vs. Young Bucks (+300)
What is old is new, and what is new is old. Ever since this company was formed, the Young Bucks and Chris Jericho have been at odds. We never saw the Elite vs Inner Circle in Blood and Guts due to the pandemic. However, the Young Bucks don’t like or trust Chris Jericho. And now that Kenny Omega and Jericho are teaming they don’t like their Elite member either. The Golden Jets are together because of Don Callis. But the Bucks took shots at Jericho two weeks ago on Dynamite; thus a stipulation was added to this one. If the Bucks lose they lose their number one tag team title shot. If Jericho and Omega lose, they can’t team anymore.
- ROH World Tag Team Championship Match: MJF & Parnet (c) (+165) vs. The Gunns (-225)
Okay, we all love what MJF and Adam Cole are doing storyline-wise. It has gotten better even with Adam Cole out to injury. Not to mention the addition of the Kingdom and Roderick Strong. And throw the opponents MJF has along the way for the title. Now, he may need an enemy to keep the ROH Tag Team Titles as he faces a very good tag team in the Gunns. The Gunns are no strangers to tag team gold. They have been AEW World Tag Team Champs before. Expect the titles to change hands here unless AEW goes in another direction.
- Sting, Darby Allin, Adam Copeland (-500) vs. Christian Cage, Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne (+300)
Christian Cage is an amazing heel. His stable, The Patriarchy, is so good for his character as he is portrayed as a fatherly figure to Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne. The rivalry with Darby Allin and Sting continues to be taken to another level. Now add in Adam Copeland as Sting winds down his wrestling career and this will be a fun trios match. The expectation is for the Babyfaces to win, but is there a swerve coming?
- TBS Championship: Kris Standlander (c) vs. Julia Hart vs. Sky Blue
Kris Statlander and Julia Hart have been in a great feud. Now throw in Sky Blue and her allegiances and this will make a spicy triple-threat match for the title. You have to wonder if Sky Blue will align herself with the House of Black even though she blew blue mist in the face of Julia Hart. The odds are stacked against the champion in this one.
- AEW World Tag Team Titles: Ricky Starks/Big Bill (c) (-250) vs. FTR (+300) vs. La Facción Ingobernable (+800) vs. Malakai Black * Brody King (+450)
This will be an interesting match. The House of Black have been getting involved in FTR’s business lately. Big Bill and Starks shocked the world, defeating the champs weeks ago on Collision. Now the champs are in a four-way for the belts. You know FTR is looking to win the gold, but expect the champs to win; FTR will help everyone be good in this one.
AEW Full Gear happens on Saturday, November 18th.
