AEW Dynamite Gets Viewership Back in Range

It is Thursday and you know what that means and the ratings for AEW Dynamite are out. We have entered a new era for All Elite Wrestling. It has been dubbed the “Rated R Era.” Last week AEW saw a nice spike in viewership and Tony Khan was looking to carry those numbers into this week. It is time to dive into this week’s ratings to see how the show did.

AEW Dynamite Gets A Spike in Viewers

AEW Dynamite was live from Louisville, KY. Tony Khan had a special announcement and he announced that tickets for All In 2024 will go on sale in December 2023. He wants you to sign up now. As far as the show goes, the storyline of MJF finding partners for the eight-man tag in the main event against Bullet Club Gold was great. Not to mention how Adam Cole and the Kingdom are involved is great storytelling.

In addition, to that story, MJF has several challenges for the AEW World Championship as that title has become important again. Plus the AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy was in action against Claudio Castagnoli of the Blackpool Combat Club. After the match, Cassidy and Jon Moxley renewed their rivalry to set up a match at Full Gear. 

The ROH Six-Man Belts were on the line plus the AEW Women’s World Championship was on the line. Tony Khan continued to set up matches for Full Gear coming up in a few weeks. Outside of Cassidy and Moxley 2, Swerve Strickland and Hangman Adam Page will battle again. Not to mention Hikaru Shida will battle Toni Storm and the AEW World Championship will be on the line as MJF takes on Jay White. And of course, Adam Copeland will team with Sting and Darby Allin to take on Christian Cage and company.

The November 1st edition of AEW Dynamite week’s show was viewed by 832,000 people and did a .28 in the 18-49 demo.

The viewership and demo were up from the previous week. As reported by Sports TVRatings, Dynamite was 5th on cable as there was competition from the World Series and the NBA on ESPN.

AEW Dynamite is in a good place. The numbers are what the numbers are and they are in their zone. Hopefully, you see them hit the million mark again. That is a nice number to shoot for.
