It is Thursday and you know what that means and the ratings for AEW Dynamite are out. We have entered a new era for All Elite Wrestling. It has been dubbed the “Rated R Era.” Now last week we talked about how everyone was a winner because of AEW vs NXT Tuesday Night Class. And AEW has its fan base while WWE has its. It is time to dive into this week’s ratings to see how the show did.
AEW Dynamite Sees Viewership and Demo Rise
AEW Dynamite was live from Rosenberg, Texas and again we heard from Adam Copeland the Rated R Superstar and why he is in AEW. There was lots of great action including Jay White taking Penta along with Kenny Omega taking on Kyle Fletcher in an instant classic. Plus the Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royal with the winner facing MJF. Spoiler alert it was Bullet Club Gold Member Juice Robinson as that storyline continues.
Then of course we have one of the best characters in the business Toni Storm giving us her life in pictures. Plus the AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida was in action. It was a solid show. Plus Sting announced that Revolution 2024 will be his last match.
AEW Collision saw a rise in their numbers from the previous two weeks which saw all-time lows thanks to WWE PLEs plus college football.
The October 18th edition of AEW Dynamite week’s show was viewed by 901,000 people and did a .31 in the 18-49 demo.

The viewership and demo are up from the previous two weeks. This is the best viewership number since September 20th of this year. Considering what was on television this week. Not to mention it appears AEW has fixed their audio issues.
As reported by Sports TVRatings, Dynamite was 3rd on cable behind the MLB playoffs. And they were ahead of the WNBA Finals Game behind the Las Vegas Aces and the New York Liberty.
Now we can stop comparing NXT viewership on Tuesday and AEW on Wednesday. While it is fun, we saw it was hot-shotted for one week. But again all wrestling fans won that week.
AEW Dynamite is in a good place. The numbers are what the numbers are and they are in their zone. Hopefully, you see them hit the million mark again. That is a nice number to shoot for.
