According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com, Jade Cargill is finishing her time with AEW. The belief inside both companies according to sources that reached out to Sapp believes she is heading to WWE.
Cargill returned this past Saturday night on AEW Collision to help out the new TBS champion Kris Statlander. Jade has not been on TV since Double or Nothing when Statlander made a surprise return at Double or Nothing. There Statlander defeated Cargill to capture the TBS Championship ending Jade’s undefeated streak.
The two are scheduled for a rematch this Friday on AEW Rampage. This should be more of a match than the match that took place at Double or Nothing. Expect it to be one of Jade’s best of her career. The expectation is this may be her final match with the company.
However, Fightful could not confirm crucial details such as when Cargill’s AEW contract expires or whether an official WWE offer had been made and acknowledges that things can change, the report claims that “the wide rumor within rosters of both WWE and AEW is that Cargill will be heading to WWE.”
Spoiler alert for those who want to watch Rampage, Statlander beats Cargill to retain the title. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that fans who attended the tapings felt like Cargill was saying her farewell to AEW. Cargill “waved to the crowd like she was leaving” and she and Statlander hugged.
Bryan Alvarez followed by saying “The belief by the end of the night was that she’s probably done with AEW and likely going to WWE. But, you know, there’s a possibility. Until she’s signed with WWE, I suppose there’s still a chance she could come back to AEW. But certainly, everyone has this idea that she’s gone.”
According to sources close to Full Press Wrestling, both are still in last-minute negotiations. However, the belief is she is done with the company.

Jade debuted in AEW in 2021 during the pandemic era at Daily’s Place. She alongside Shaw began a feud with Cody Rhodes and Brandi. The match never happened between those four, but a tag team match did place on an episode of Dynamite with Cody, Red Velvet, Shaq, and Jade.
From there Jade dominated the women’s division though she never won the AEW Women’s Championship, she made the TBS Championship feel special. She elevated that title winning the inaugural TBS Championship in a tournament that defeated Ruby Soho in the final on an episode of Dynamite as the company switched from TNT to TBS. Full Press Wrestling was in attendance that night.
From there Cargill had a reign of 508 days with the championship complying 60 consecutive wins in the process. Though she is still very green in the ring, she brings name and star power to a company like WWE. Not to mention her relationship with Cody Rhodes and knowing him could have played a role in her going there.
Stay tuned as this story develops and an official announcement is made. But as it stands now Jade Cargill is heading to WWE.
