It is Thursday and you know what that means and we do realize it is Friday and the ratings for AEW Dynamite are out. AEW is coming off an incredible All-In at Wembley Stadium and All Out in Chicago. Not to mention the news surrounding CM Punk being let go. Tony Khan and company looking to get that momentum back. This show was good filled with excellent promos.
AEW Dynamite Stays In Range
AEW Dynamite was live in Indianapolis, Indiana for the fallout from All Out. Tony Khan is going to rely on guys he has relied on in the past when there has been a mess while making new stars along the way. Jon Moxley is the new International Champion, Bryan Danielson is back, and of course the AEW World Champion MJF.

The show opened with Jon Moxley defending the AEW International Championship after Orange Cassidy cut a promo. That was the theme of the night; good promo segments. It started with MJF and Samoa Joe as they built towards a feud as they touched on their past. Then there is Toni Storm’s new character which is right out of the 1950s starlit movie star. And of course Swerve Strickland and Hangman Adam Page.
In addition, the saga between Adam Cole, Rodrick Strong, and the Kingdom continues to build. Throw in the fact, that Christian Cage is great. This was a solid show.
The September 6th edition of AEW Dynamite week’s show was viewed by 874,000 people and did a .31 in the 18-49 demo.

The viewership and demo are right around where it was last week prior to All Out. The viewership rose while the demo stayed. AEW Dynamite was number two on cable behind US Open tennis on ESPN as the charts provided by SportsTVRatings.
AEW Dynamite continues to be in its normal range between 800k and 900k. These numbers were higher a year ago. But Solid numbers for this show. There are always ebbs and flows to each week. Considering this was a weird show, this is a solid number. Again this is despite what some say about how they handle their business.
Again we look at year-to-year numbers AEW is in a good place. Like the viewership number, the demo was in the range of the previous 10-week demo numbers. Overall, AEW Dynamite is in a good place. Collision took a big drop after the CM Punk announcement.
