Heading into All Out there was too much news about the backstage incident involving CM Punk and Jack Perry during All In in London. And AEW President/CEO Tony Khan was getting fed up with it. Everywhere he turned, those were the only questions he was being asked. Instead of talking about the event in Chicago, he had to talk about a wrestler who was no longer with the company.
And that was the talk heading into Collision on Saturday and All Out on Sunday. However, after Tony Khan made the announcement, he made sure to deliver a spectacular PPV in front of a packed house in the United Center.

Shock Waves in Pro Wrestling: A McMahon No Longer Owns WWE

Though the build to All Out was tough as documented on the Full Press Wrestling Podcast, the show delivered as most expected it would. While it felt like a Ring of Honor show, in the end, All Out had that AEW PPV feel.
Unlike All In, which was paced really well, All Out had its fair share of hits and misses when it came to pacing. However, one thing you can say is that All Out delivered like All In. And that is all you can ask from AEW. It was a thoroughly entertaining show and exactly what the doctor ordered for the company.
For those in attendance in Chicago’s United States and everyone else watching on Bleacher Report, Fite, or another streaming platform, they saw wrestlers from the company step up as they did last week in London. Samoa Joe led the charge last, along with MJF and Adam Cole. This week, the whole roster made it their mission to show they are the future of wrestling and AEW.
But you can look to guys like Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, Orange Cassidy, Ricky Starks, Kenny Omega, and Bullet Club Gold. Those wrestlers put on solid matches. As Danielson said in his media scrum post event, everyone was watching the main event.

Danielson was around six people in the back around monitors. Each person gave a different reaction to what they were seeing in that main event between Moxley and Cassidy for the AEW International Title. Cassidy has made that belt so important, and the legacy will continue with the new champion Jon Moxley.
But Danielson, Jay White, Moxley, Juice Robinson, and FTR have been MVPs of this company. Especially Moxley. We know what he has done and how much Tony Khan loves him and Danielson. Expect those guys to step up even more. Both men will be up for the challenge.
But All Out was a good event. Many wondered how it was going to play out. But like All In, the fans went home happy. And AEW proved that they can make this company into something without a guy like CM Punk, despite what he meant to the company.
But it felt like with All Out on Sunday night, it was a new era for AEW and they got back to who they were. The momentum of All In was continuing. AEW needs to be praised for the week of wrestling they put together. It started in London, and it ended in Chicago.
Tony Khan talks about getting second chances, but this is a do-over. Which the company desperately needs. There was too much drama, and they got back to wrestling and telling stories. AEW put on a good show and with good matches. It was precisely why everyone loved the idea of an alternative.
AEW All Out was a perfect follow-up to All In. And this show was able to showcase the depth of a roster and it does not revolve around one guy. Let’s see if they can continue to carry that momentum forward.
Regardless of their builts we know AEW will deliver in their events with good wrestling. And that has been Tony Khan’s mission from Day 1.
All eyes will be on the product going forward. But All Out delivered like All In and was exactly what the company needed after a tumultuous week involving everything but wrestling and what the company did in London.
