It is a big weekend for professional wrestling. As we have stated multiple times, the world of pro wrestling is in a good state. And it is on display this Labor Day weekend with two PPVs with WWE Payback and AEW All Out. This is coming off a weekend where we saw AEW All In at Wembley, RevPro the night before, and Impact PPV as well. Tell me pro wrestling isn’t in a good state.
But again, that is another topic for another day. This article looks at the odds for WWE Payback this Saturday, September 1st, live from PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA.

Shock Waves in Pro Wrestling: A McMahon No Longer Owns WWE
by Full Press Coverage on September 27, 2023 at 12:00 pm
WWE is coming off the tragic death of Bray Wyatt and Terry Funk, and you know the wrestlers will want to put on a show for their fallen brothers. With no Bloodline on a PPV for what seems like an eternity, the headlining match is Seth Rollins vs. Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Along with that tile match, there are three other title matches on the card as well, including several grudge matches.
With only a few days left before WWE Payback, let’s take a look at some of the betting favourites that are expected to emerge victorious in the night’s biggest bouts.

AEW ALL OUT Odds via BetOnline:
- WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Seth Rollins (c) (-1000) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (+500)
This is the main event of the evening for WWE Payback. Rollins has been great as a champion defending the title all the time. Nakamura being turned heel is great because we get to see another side of him that we really did not get to see when he went up against AJ Styles. This should be a great match between two veterans of the game. Expect Rollins to retain.
- Becky Lynch (-1000) vs. Trish Stratus (+500)
So we all know Becky Lynch is going to win here, right? She needs to after WWE missed an opportunity to have a blowoff match at Summerslam. Trish and Becky have done their best to keep this feud going. The match they were supposed to have on RAW ended in a no-contest. With Zoey Stark involved, it makes Trish feel even more important. Let’s see if they can deliver. Fans have been waiting for this one. You can’t have Becky lose.
- WWE Women’s Championship Match: Rhea Ripley (c) (-5000) vs. Raquel Rodriguez (+1000)
Rhea Ripley is the leader of the Judgement Day and you can see it. There is a reason she is a heavy favorite to retain the title. Raquel will put up a fight and has been presented as a good opponent with a threat to win, but Rhea will win going away.
- LA Knight (-2500) vs The Miz (+800)
Stranger things have happened with this company, but with the roll LA Knight has been on lately, expect him to win this match. The Miz has brought out the best in LA Knight. Their mic work has been excellent. Again guys do have to pay their dues and expect the Miz to cheat to try to win in this one. However, it is LA Knight’s time.
- WWE Undisputed Tag Team Titles: Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens (c) (-1000) vs. The Judgement Day (+500)
It feels like we have seen this match over and over again. How many times will Judgement Day come up short in winning the tag team titles? You kind of have to expect an upset here. But then again Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have been great but the issue is the writing and injuries have hurt their momentum let’s see if they get back on track. This has a 50/50 feel to it.
- WWE United States Championship: Rey Mysterio (c) (-500) vs. Austin Theory (+300)
Rey Mysterio just won the title from Theory on an episode of Smackdown. That was supposed to have been Santos Escobar’s night to shine. But an injury forced him out. Rey won the title and the rematch has been set for Payback. Though Rey is the favorite, don’t be surprised if Santos costs him the match to set up a feud there. Something to keep an eye out for.
WWE Payback happens Saturday, September 2nd, live on Peacock.
