It is Thursday and you know what that means the ratings for AEW Dynamite are out. AEW is coming off an incredible All-In at Wembley Stadium with the build to All Out on. It is definitely tough to build back-to-back PPVs. This was a really good show bookend by a really good International Title Match.
AEW Dynamite Number One
AEW Dynamite was live in Chicago at the NOW Arena. Again it is hard to put on back-to-back PPV specials. However, Tony Khan is doing the best job he can with what he has got. There was some good entertainment on the card despite the CM Punk situation which is ever-changing.

The show opened with Jon Moxley and Kommander and ended with the International Championship match between Orange Cassidy and Penta. The main event was a PPV-quality match on free TV. Both men need to run that back. Cassidy cut a great promo and continues to find different ways to keep his title making the reign feel important. Then Moxley and Cassidy had a staredown.
In addition, AEW Dynamite was setting up matches for All Out on Sunday along with Rampage and Collision, which was up in viewership this week. There was a great interaction between Roderick Strong and the Kingdom along with Adam Cole. MJF-Adam Cole will defend the ROH Tag Team Titles at All Out.
The August 23rd edition of AEW Dynamite week’s show was viewed by 871,000 people and did a .31 in the 18-49 demo.

The viewership and demo are right around where it was last week prior to All In. The viewership rose while the demo dropped. AEW Dynamite was number one on cable again. AEW Dynamite continues to be in its normal range between 800k and 900k. These numbers were higher a year ago. But Solid numbers for this show. There are always ebbs and flows to each week. Considering this was a weird show, this is a solid number. Again this is despite what some say about how they handle their business.
Again we look at year-to-year numbers AEW is in a good place. Like the viewership number, the demo was in the range of the previous 10-week demo numbers. Overall, AEW Dynamite is in a good place. So is Collision.
The ratings were provided by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and the charts provided by SportsTVRatings.
