It is Thursday and you know what that means, but today is Frday and the ratings for AEW Dynamite are out. AEW is building toward ALL-In at Wembley Stadium with several more matches announced for the show. This was a weird Dynamite. It was Fight of the Fallen raising money for the Maui Wild Fires. Some good and some bad. Let’s see how the ratings did this week.
AEW Dynamite Number One
AEW Dynamite was live in Nashville, TN. There were several good matches including two to bookend the show featuring Orange Cassidy and Wheeler Yuta along with the Young Bucks taking on the Gunns.

With the Bucks returning to the tag team scene they had the main event slot. Again the AEW was building toward ALL-In as we saw the return of Will Ospreay to help Don Callis out against Chris Jericho. Also, Eddie Kingston returned to align himself with Best Friends, Orange Cassidy, and the Lucha Bros against the Blackpool Combat Club to set up Stadium Stampede.
In addition, we saw Kenny Omega, Hangman Adam Page, Jay White, Juice Robinson, along with a handful of others including FTR on the show this week.
The last couple of AEW Collision shows have not done well in the ratings, but that is because of a WWE PPV and the NFL returning. Those two especially the NFL have cut into their numbers. Let’s see what happens when College Football returns.
A lot of the people are waiting for the MJF-Adam Cole split. We got signs of it on Wednesday night. It will be interesting to see how these get to the main event of All-In. There is a lot of drama between those two as they head toward Zero Hour as they take on Aussie Open for the ROH Tag Team Titles.
The August 9th edition of AEW Dynamite week’s show was viewed by 874,000 people and did a .32 in the 18-49 demo.
AEW Dynamite last night on TBS:

The viewership and demo were both up from the previous week. However, according to SpoilerTV the show was number one on cable for the second week in a row. AEW Dynamite continues to be in its normal range between 800k and 900k. Solid numbers for this show. There are always ebbs and flows to each week. Considering this was a weird show, this is a solid number. Again this is despite what some say about how they handle their business.
Again we look at year-to-year numbers AEW is in a good place. Like the viewership number, the demo was in the range of the previous 10-week demo numbers. Overall, AEW Dynamite is in a good place. So is Collision.
Unfortunately, Showbuzzdaily is no longer available thus we will have to go someplace else for the charts.
