It is Thursday and you know what that means… ratings for AEW Dynamite are out. Forbidden Door is right around and AEW got back to its roots. This Dynamite felt like an old Dynamite live from Washington, D.C. It was a jam-packed show. We had an AEW World Title Eliminator Match kicking things off and the Blackpool Combat Club and The Elite closed the show. Let’s see how this show did with the NHL and NBA now concluded.
AEW Dynamite Viewership Rises
AEW Dynamite looks to continue to maintain its audience with the winter sports seasons wrapping up with the NBA Finals and Stanley Cup Final complete. AEW Dynamite looks to continue its rise with Collision right around the corner.
Well, Tony Khan had a great card as previously stated. Adam Cole, MJF, Young Bucks, Hangman Adam Page, Orange Cassidy, and the Blackpool Combat Club were all in action. Again it brought many back to the old days when the company first started. What made this show feel so special was the surprise returns of Eddie Kingston and Will Ospreay.
The June 14th edition of AEW Dynamite week’s show was viewed by 832,000 people and did a .30 in the 18-49 demo.
AEW Dynamite last night on TBS (8-10pm):
832,000 viewers
P18-49 rating: 0.30
#3 cable original in P18-49

The viewership and demo were down from the previous week. Clearly, the idea of Tony Khan using Big Announcements lost viewers. Though the show was really good. This is the first time in a while that AEW fell this low in viewership.
Again we look at year-to-year comparables AEW is in a good place numbers-wise. AEW Dynamite is doing well on Wednesday night since it moved to TBS. This is why they are getting a new TV deal and show. However, having star power and good storylines would also draw people in. Hopefully, the numbers rise with the new show.
AEW Dynamite finished third cable according to Showbuzzdaily.com. Little disappointing considering no professional sports championships on TV. MLB let the way with the Subway Series with the Mets and Yankees.
