It is Thursday and you know what that means… ratings for AEW Dynamite are out. Double or Nothing is behind us with Forbidden Door right around the corner. Things are heating up as AEW Collision is coming as well. It was another jam-packed card featuring the AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy, MJF, the AEW World Champion, and another announcement from Tony Khan. Let’s see how this show did with the NBA back on TV.
AEW Dynamite Viewership Rises
AEW Dynamite looks to continue to maintain its audience during the most exciting time for sports fans with the NBA Playoffs and Stanley Cup Playoffs on. But this time there were no sports on television. And AEW Dynamite always does following a big show.

Well, Tony Khan had a great card as previously stated with Cassidy defending the title against Swerve Strickland, MJF finds out that Adam Cole is his new challenger, and the King of Announcements was back at it as it was announced CM Punk and FTR will team up in the main event of AEW Collision to take on Jay White, Juice Robinson, and Samoa Joe.
The June 7th edition of AEW Dynamite week’s show was viewed by 903,000 people and did a .33 in the 18-49 demo.
AEW Dynamite last night on TBS (8-10pm):
903,000 viewers
P18-49 rating: 0.33
#4 cable original in P18-49

The viewership was down from the previous week with the demo going up this week after dropping last week. How long can TK use the Big Announcement to draw people in? Though this was an excellent card and it is the first time since December that AEW Dynamite goes over 900,000 viewers. This is a good thing for the company with the new show coming on Saturdays. It also helps that CM Punk is returning. The million mark would be great but this is where they are and in this day in age it is a good number.
Again we look at year-to-year comparables AEW is in a good place numbers-wise. AEW Dynamite is doing well on Wednesday night since it moved to TBS. This is why they are getting a new TV deal and show. However, having star power and good storylines would also draw people in.
As far as where AEW Dynamite finished on second cable last week, the show fell to fourth as the NBA Finals led the way with Shows on Bravo leading the way on cable according to Showbuzzdaily.com.
