Forbidden Door 2 Card Shaping Up To Be Real Good

It is Forbidden Door Season! The next PPV from AEW and NJPW called Forbidden Door 2 happens Sunday, June 25th in Toronto, Ontario, Canada with two matches already confirmed for the event.

Omega/Ospreay and Danielson/Okada Headline Forbidden Door 2

It was confirmed that Kenny Omega vs Will Ospreay 2 for the IWGP US Title will take place at Forbidden Door 2 after Ospreay won the number one contender title tournament at New Japan Dominion this past weekend.

Ospreay then had some comments about Canadian wrestlers that caught the attention of Kenny Omega. Omega told Ospreay via Instragram.. Good Luck, Will! All but setting the stage for an epic rematch.

These two put on an absolute clinic at Wrestle Kingdom 17 where Omega beat Ospreay to reclaim the IWGP United States Title. Now the rematch will take place on Omega’s home soil of Canada.

That was the first time Ospreay and Omega wrestled in a singles match. Prior to that AEW fans saw Will Ospreay and Aussie Empire meet Omega and the Young Bucks (The Elite) on Dynamite. It was part of the AEW Trios Title Tournament. This was a semifinal match. Omega and Ospreay put together some great spots in that match. The first match in Japan was great, get ready for an even better encore.

Do not be surprised if there is a third match at All-In in London in Ospreay’s home country as well.

This match was finalized Tuesday as part of a double main event for Forbidden Door 2.

Danielson made an appearance on screen at Dominion where he challenged Okada in an epic promo.

Danielson wants the best wrestlers in the world. It was a dream of his to wrestle in New Japan to take on the best. AEW is giving him this opportunity. Now he will get the Rainmaker in Okada who confirmed the match will take place in Toronto n a press conference on Tuesday.

There will also be matches taking place in the Owen Hart Tournament. But the big news is that Omega/Ospreay 2 will take place along with Danielson/Okada at Forbidden Door 2.
