It was a big wrestling weekend as AEW held its Double or Nothing PPV in Las Vegas on Sunday night. The show was saved by the main event and Anarchy in the Arena, more on that in another article. The big story coming out of the show is we are getting the Elite vs Blackpool Combat Club in Blood & Guts III. The show closed with Konosuke Takeshita turning on the Elite to give the BCC the win in Anarchy in the Arena. After the show went off the air Kenny Omega tells that he has some non-AEW friends to help even the odds.

Who Can the Mystery Wrestler Be To Help Kenny Omega?
Now there are several guesses as to who it could be. Kota Ibushi is the most likely wrestler to come to enter through Forbidden Door to join AEW. It also could be Kazuchika Okada from New Japan Pro Wrestling as well. Both men Kenny Omega has battled throughout the years in Japan. Ibushi and Omega were a tag team known as the Golden Lovers. They reunited when Kenny Omega won the IWGP World Title to be known as the “Golden Elite”
There has been speculation surrounding Ibushi coming to America and AEW. Given the fact, Omega is so close to him, it makes for Ibushi to walk through the Forbidden Door. Now there are others out there. One man, in particular, knows as the “Villian” Marty Scurll. Scurll was a member of Bullet Club and was featured on Being the Elite. However, it will take something special for him to come by to the States and wrestle in a major promotion.
BCC vs The Elite
Back to the match. It is no surprise of the result of Anarchy in the Arena, the BCC had to get the victory to showcase them as a dominant heel group. This was an excellent match and very violent as Jon Moxley predicted. Entering the match, the BCC was beating up everyone in AEW including the Elite. Even without William Regal, this group was a dominant force.
As documented on the Full Press Wrestling Podcast, the group are better as heels. Their run began once Regal left the company. At first, it was just Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli running wild on AEW and ROH. Add Bryan Danielson to the mix and the group was even more destructive. They pointed their attack on the Elite as Danielson called them amateurs. The BCC took out both the Young Bucks and Hangman Adam Page along with Kenny Omega.
There were little teases along the way with Takeshita. Takeshita drew the eye of Don Callis and both groups wanted his serves. It appeared Takeshita was going to be an Elite member after saving them on an episode of Dynamite leading into the PPV. Omega and Takeshita teamed up in numerous tag team matches with Callis in their corner.

However, that all changed when Moxley and Omega had a cage match on Dynamite. It was a bloody affair between the men and with Omega in control towards the end, Callis turned on Omega allowing Moxley to win. Looking to even the odds in the fight with the BCC, the Elite reunited when Hangman Page returned from his injury thus setting up the match at Double or Nothing.
Takeshita Turns Heel
In the final stage of the bout with Omega and Page in control, and Omega looking to finish off Yuta with the One Winged Angel, Don Callis appeared from behind. However, before he could retaliate, a person in a black hoodie and face mask attacked Omega with a vicious flying knee.

Konosuke Takeshita revealed himself to be the hired gun by the BCC. This allowed Yuta to use the screwdriver on Kenny Omega and get the pinfall victory on him to give the BCC the win. After the match, the BCC continued their beatdown on Omega.
With Omega laid out the show went off the air.
As previously mentioned, Kenny Omega grabbed a mic and told the fans this was far from over saying he has some friends outside of AEW that will even up the odds.
