AEW Dynamite Ratings Remain In Normal Range

It is Thursday and you know what that means… ratings for AEW Dynamite are out. AEW is on the road to Double or Nothing and Tony Khan announced a new show AEW Saturday Night Collision as Dynamite continues to ramp up the action with the Elite, Blackpool Combat Club, Orange Cassidy, MJF, Darby Allin, Sammy Guevara, and Jack Perry all in action.  Let’s see how this show did there was minimal sports competition.

AEW Dynamite Viewership Stays In Range

AEW Dynamite looks to continue to maintain its audience during the most exciting time for sports fans with the NBA Playoffs and Stanley Cup Playoffs on. As mentioned before it was a solid card for this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite with a major announcement coming of the new show for Saturday Night. Time to dive into the numbers.

The May 17th edition of AEW Dynamite week’s show was viewed by 814,000 people and did a .28 in the 18-49 demo.

The viewership was down from the previous week with the demo holding strong. This week the demo dipped to .28. The demo has remained consistent in the .28 to .30 range but the issue is the viewership number.

Again we look at year-to-year comparables and we know why these numbers have dipped some. AEW Dynamite is doing well on Wednesday night since it moved to TBS. This is why they are getting a new TV deal and show. However, having star power and good storylines would also draw people in as well.

AEW Dynamite was 7th on cable according to Showbuzzdaily.com. This was up two spots. As per usual the NBA Playoffs dominated the charts. What was interesting is the Rich and Shameless Hulk Hogan Gawker story was ahead of Dynamite with 854,000 viewers and .30 in the demo sitting 6th on the charts. Hopefully, AEW can get their audience back as the road to Double or Nothing is in the final week.
