It is Friday and normally Thursday and you know what that means… ratings for AEW Dynamite are out. AEW had a solid main event with their four pillars of AEW as the feud between Chris Jericho and Adam Cole continued. Let’s see how this show did after a rating bump from last week.
AEW Dynamite Ratings
AEW Dynamite was looking to carry the momentum of last week into this week with another loaded card. The debut of Jay White, and an awesome main event with the pillars of AEW.
The April 19th edition of AEW Dynamite week’s show was viewed by 830,000 people and did a .28 in the 18-49 demo.
AEW Dynamite last night on TBS (8-10pm):
830,000 viewers
P18-49 rating: 0.28
#7 cable original in P18-49

The viewership was down from the previous week with the demo holding strong. This was the lowest viewership since February 15th. Again we look at year-to-year comparables and we know why these numbers have dipped some. Maybe that all can be resolved soon. But these are still solid numbers for Dynamite on a Wednesday night. However surprising that AEW Dynamite could not feed off the Rampage’s best numbers in months.
It would help if there was more cross-promotion. AEW Dynamite was 7th on cable according to Showbuzzdaily.com. AEW was down one spot from the previous week. They were behind two NBA games on ESPN per usual. Hopefully, AEW can continue the upward trajectory with the viewership. The storyline building with the Blackpool Combat Club and the Elite, is starting to build and hopefully will see a rise in numbers. Along with the four pillars storyline.
