WWE News: Vince McMahon Running Creative
Despite what Vince McMahon said on CNBC during the sale of WWE to Endeavor, when asked if he would be heavily involved in creative, where he would have a say higher up rather than in the weeds, Raw after Wrestlemania proved differently.

Originally tonight was supposed to feature a couple of triple threat matches that would serve as a tournament for a Raw Women’s Title shot. They were scrapped very late in favor of the tag title contender match

In addition, Mike Johnson of PWI Insider wrote that while Triple H Paul Levesque started on the headset, McMahon became the lead person during the night. Johnson wrote that rewrites happened not only before the show, but during the show as well. Morale was back to the point it was before Triple H took over.
WWE News: WWE Sold To Endeavor
As it has been covered on Full Press Wrestling over the last couple of days, the sale of WWE has been finalized. Endeavor the parent company of UFC, is purchasing WWE. There will be a new company formed between WWE and UFC which will be the global leader in live and sporting events.
Endeavor’s owner Ariel Emanuel will remain the owner and chief executive of the new company with Vince McMahon being the second highest-ranking official in the new company. McMahon will remain as the executive chairman of the new company.
As noted yesterday, it is expected that Endeavor President Mark Shapiro will also work in the same role at the new company. Dana White will remain as president of UFC. And WWE CEO Nick Khan will serve as president of the wrestling business.

AEW News: CM Punk Was Set To Come Back To AEW
We all know what happened after All-Out when CM Punk reclaimed the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley. The Post All-Out Media Scrum comments and brawl left the company with a black eye at a time when WWE was gaining momentum. Punk along with Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks were stripped of their titles and suspended. Punk was injured in his match anyway and was set to be off for a long time.
AEW rebounded after the black mark, but there were reports that Punk wanted back in.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer concluded that Punk is looking to get back in AEW:
“What it says is that he wants back in…and other people have said that too, that he’s looking to get back in.”
“It’s up to Tony. And Tony’s gonna make a decision at some point. Right now, he’s probably just about ready, if not ready already from the torn triceps, so it is one of those things that he can do soon enough.”
However, Punk decided to go on Instagram and make a post about Moxley, Jericho and Meltzer that was deleted immediately. In a recent Observer Newsletter, Tony Khan and Punk (and their lawyers) had agreed in principle to a reunion, which is something Khan wanted. But that was before the public back-and-forth about what went on around the Moxley program.
The situation with C.M. Punk became a bigger story this week when he put up an Instagram post where he went off on Tony Khan, Jon Moxley, myself and Chris Jericho, which he immediately took down. This came while sides were working on a reconciliation that was at least in principle agreed to, per the decision of Khan who wanted him back.
Where things stand at this moment are unknown. There are tons of complicated issues involved and differences of opinions on the subject. But it was going to happen and then this happened and it still may end up happening.
With a report from Fightful Select that AEW was considering moving All-Out from the NOW Arena to the United Center, tea leaves were being connected for a potential Punk return. Remember, when Punk returned in August of 2021, he debuted in the United Center giving Rampage its biggest audience ever.
There will have to be a lot of fences to be mended, but Punk misses his fans and the business. As we can say in this business never say never.
