On Wednesday, December 14th, it was reported and then confirmed by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com that Mandy Rose had been released from WWE.

As Sapp notes in his reporting, WWE was put in a tough position due to the content Mandy Rose was positing on her Fan Time page. The company felt some of the more recent uploads were outside of the parameters of her WWE contract.
Bryan Alvarez notes on Wrestling Observer Live, that there are two sides to every story. But there are facts to this story too. Fact one, Rose is done with WWE. Fact two, this did have something to do with a site she set up, where she charges fans to see videos of her. Rose did set up her own subscription service and WWE was aware of this site. For a while this was not an issue and then she ended up dropping the title on Tuesday night against Roxanne Perez on NXT.
In addition, Alvarez notes, while the title change and match were sudden, the plan was for Perez to always win the NXT Women’s Title from Mandy Rose. Perez won the Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline on Saturday, and the match was originally scheduled for January 10th New Year’s Evil. However, those plans changed on Tuesday.
Apparently, Rose was caught off guard by the sudden change and firing on Tuesday and she went to the ring and did the job. The other side of the story is both parties came to a mutual agreement that she was going to be leaving.

Rose, the longest reigning Women’s NXT Champion 413 Days, had been having her best run with the company since returning in July 2021. In her first run with the company, Rose arrived in WWE and competed on NXT before going up to the main roster as part of Absolution with Paige and Sonya Deville. Page and Deville broke off to form Fire and Desire. The two feuded leading to a loser leaves town match at Summerslam 2020.
Rose won that match but then was taken off TV. When she did come back in 2021, she formed Toxic Attraction alongside Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne. After winning the Women’s Title at Halloween Havoc 2021 from Raquel Gonzalez (Rodriguez), she went on a long title run unifying the NXT Women’s Title and the NXT UK Women’s title at Worlds Collide.
As Alvarez notes, the door is open for Mandy Rose to return to WWE down the road.
