It’s Thursday and you know what that means… ratings for AEW Dynamite are out. Everything was back on track after the holiday. It was a good-paced show from start to finish with some surprises. Let’s see how this show did on Thanksgiving Eve.
AEW Dynamite
AEW Dynamite was live from Indianapolis, IN as the road to Winter Is Coming is on. This was a good show book ended with two solid matches. Plus a great opening segment. This crowd was electric for AEW Dynamite.
The November 30th edition of AEW Dynamite week’s show was viewed by 870,000 people and did a .26 in the 18-49 demo.

The show is performing much better after the go-home show that led into Full Gear. Again the crowd makes a difference. The Indy crowd wanted to see this show. And it was a good one. The numbers are creeping back up to where AEW Dynamite expects them to be. Though there is a lot on TV, there isn’t much competition at night which makes these numbers very concerning. But again AEW usually does well when it comes to DVR numbers as well.
This week’s show saw viewership decrease slightly from the previous week and the demo dropped below .30 for the second time in three weeks.
Show Recap
The show kicked off with a bang as Jon Moxley opened the show and he was looking for a fight. Moxley claimed he was at the top of the food chain despite not being champion anymore and that no man had the courage to confront him. This brought out Hangman Adam Page. Who is or is not cleared to wrestle after what happened the last time these two were in the ring? Moxley reminded Page about what happened that night and the fight was on.
This crowd was into this brawl yelling “Let Them Fight.” The fans believe this is a main event-level fight and they are not wrong. It carried on up the ramp where Moxley fell off and got back up. It continued into the back before both men were escorted from the building.
The opening match of the night was a dandy as Dax Harwood of FTR took on Bryan Danielson. This match was set up on Rampage and this was a thing of beauty. A pure technical wrestling clinic. A hard-hitting affair between two guys that have mastered the sport. These two guys put on a clinic of reversals and it was great to see as Danielson made Harwood tap out. The two men showed signs of respect after the bell was over.
In the main event, we had the best of seven series between Death Triangle and The Elite. This was a good match and for the first time since their return, the crowd did not boo or chant anything anti-CM Punk or anti-Elite their way. Before the match got underway, the Elite charged Death Triangle on the ramp. All six men pulled out some cool spots on the floor. The bell didn’t get underway until Penta was thrown into the ring by Kenny Omega.
You wonder how these guys would put on seven great matches and seven different matches. Well, they found a way. Again these trios matches are fun. The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Lucha Bros, and Pac pulled out all their favourite moves. As they would say they played the hits. The Elite are back in the series as Matt Jackson pinned Pac after blocking the Black Arrow. Again seeds were planted between Penta and Rey Fenix in regard to using the hammer and cheating. We are having seven matches and the next one is at Winter Is Coming.

MJF Spoke for the first time since winning the World Title. This was another excellent promo by MJF. He talked about the email he got from William Regal and why he saw him as weak when the Firm attacked him. Instead of using the Diamond Ring, he needs to use the Brass one. That brass ring was the brass knuckles. MJF introduced a new AEW World Title that had Burberry Scarf leather instead of Black. He renamed it the Big Burberry Belt and he claims he will have one of the longest titles reigns ever and it will put others to shame.
Again he hyped the bidding war of 2024 name dropping Triple H and Nick Khan. Also mentioned Hollywood could come calling. MJF also took shots at Ricky Starks, Eddie Kingston, and Bryan Danielson. The ones at Danielson were more subtle. But he called fans Fickle as Danielson did when he was WWE Champion and made the title out of Felt. Nice tie-in before saying his reign of terror has just begun before turning on Regal.
MJF hit Regal in the back of the head with the Brass Knuckles and with Regal flattened he recited the email Regal left for him saying the Game has changed and he was looking for top-tier talent and Regal wasn’t that anymore. Such great storytelling. Danielson came out to help Regal and escorted him to the hospital. I’m for this feud.
In addition, Samoa Joe was in action and he looked strong. AEW was setting up ROH Final Battle in a week’s time. More matches were announced. Ricky Starks had a good showing heading the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal next week. The winner gets a shot at MJF for the ring. Starks wants to take both from the champ.
That was the show.
