The show was awesome and Tony Khan has shown that less can be more. AEW Dynamite opened with CM Punk taking on Max Caster of the Acclaimed. It did not take long for a Will Smith reference. This was a solid match to open the show. Punk said after the match he is coming for AEW World Title. The crowd was electric for Jay Lethal and Jon Moxley. Since purchasing ROH, Khan has made a habit of putting former ROH wrestlers on display. Like with Lethal and Adam Cole, Lethal and Moxley put on a great match.
FTR was in action taking on the Gunn Club and this was a solid tag team match. MJF was on commentary and prior to the match FTR told MJF, they wanted no part in the feud with Wardlow. Wardlow showed up during the match and FTR was not thrilled. Later on, they challenged the Young Bucks. FTR will be in action on Friday against the Briscoes at Supercard of Honor. Things escalated between the Jericho Appreciation Society and Eddie Kingston, Santana and Ortiz. Wheeler Yuta took on Bryan Danielson as the other half of the Blackpool Combat Club was in action.
Finally, we saw Toni Storm debut in AEW taking on the Bunny advancing in the Owen Hart Tournament. It was good to see their reaction for her. She is one of the best in the business and the reaction showed these fans did not forget who she was. In addition, we saw Adam Page, Adam Cole, reDRagon, Jurassic Express brawl as it appears these men will be facing off at Battle of the Belts or sooner. In the main event, we have Andrade take on Darby Allin.
