It’s Thursday and you know what that means… ratings for Wednesday night Dynamite are out. However, today is Monday and later today we will try to get out the Friday night wrestling ratings. But first playing some catch up we will look at AEW Dynamite from the previous Wednesday.
AEW Dynamite
The February 23, 2022 edition of AEW Dynamite was live from Bridgeport, CT. This week’s show was viewed by 1,010,000 people and did. 40 in the 18-49 demo which is about 517,000 people. The viewership and demo were up from the previous week. Lucky for Dynamite the show got in before the major news of the night happened. Usually, news hurts the numbers for Dynamite. In addition, this was the fourth-best number of 2022 for AEW Dynamite on TBS. Finally, according to Showbuzzdaily.com AEW Dynamite was third on the night on cable.

This was another very good episode of AEW Dynamite. The show opened with the Tag Team Battle Royal with the winner advancing to Revolution as one of the teams to face Jurassic Express for the tag team titles. This was a great opener with Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish winning the match. Again more subtle teases from AEW between the rift between the Young Bucks and reDRagon. AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page came down to get some revenge and he and Adam Cole had some words.
This show will be remembered most for the promos cut by MJF, Eddie Kingston, and Chris Jericho. MJF cut a great promo and if you haven’t seen it, go check it out. This time it was CM Punk being left speechless. Kingston and Jericho was amazing as well. The war of words between these two were great. These three promos were the best things on TV all week.

Other matches included Bryan Danielson taking Daniel Garcia in the main event. Danielson gave Moxley the answer he wanted as those two will fight at the PPV. We also saw Penta and Pac taking on Kings of the Black Mass. After Penta and Pac won, Buddy Matthews debuted to align himself with the House of Black. We saw Ricky Starks taking on 10 in the face of the Revolution Ladder Match. Plus the TBS title was on the line as Jade Cargill took on the Bunny.
This Wednesday’s show should be exciting as the go-home show for Revolution with a big surprise from Tony Kahn.
