Smackdown had more build to the Royal Rumble as Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns faced off prior to their meeting for the Universal Championship. This was well thought out and put together as Seth continues to bring up the Shield and how Roman has never gotten over the fact the group split up. Seth is doing some of his best work. Roman is solid as a heel and his work as the Tribal Chief is unmatched.
Outside of this segment, it was a pretty good show. Sasha Banks returned during the Charolette Flair segment. Naomi and Sonya Deville continued their feud heading into the Royal Rumble. Plus the New Day was in action.

AEW Rampage was viewed by 601,000 people and did a .25 in the 18-49 demo. These numbers are both up from the previous week. AEW Rampage did the highest viewership on Friday night since October 1st. It was the highest demo since October 29th. Remember the Christmas edition was on a Saturday. It had a slightly higher 18-49 number. According to Showbuzzdaily.com AEW Rampage was ninth on cable.
This was a solid Rampage for AEW. Jon Moxley was back in action against the Acclaimed Anthony Bowens. Good opening match. In addition, we saw FTR taking on Brock Anderson and Lee Johnson. Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson got physical. Jade Cargill defended the TBS championship against Julia Hart. While Jurassic Express put the AEW World Tag Team Titles on the line against Private Party.
