It’s Thursday and you know what that means… ratings for Wednesday night Dynamite are out. The run Tony Kahn put together from the end of 2021 through the beginning of 2022 is over. And we know every show cannot be a loaded card like we had last week. But this week’s AEW Dynamite was good coming off a very good Battle of the Belts on Saturday. Let’s see how the show did.
AEW Dynamite: TBS Era Begins

This was a unique episode of Dynamite as they kicked off with a promo segment for the first time ever in the history’s program. As Adam Cole was out with Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly before the Young Bucks returned. Best Friends showed up along with Kris Statlander. From there Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D made an appearance as for the first time since Cole joined AEW, the real-life couple appeared on TV together. This setup a mix tag match next week between Orange Cassidy/Statlander against Cole and Baker.

In addition, we saw the CM Punk and MJF feud continue with the addition of Wardlow. Very interesting how this one played and the direction it is going. AEW loves planting seeds and they continue to do it with Eddie Kingston and Chris Jericho. Both men were out for the main event as Sammy Guevara defended the interim TNT title against Daniel Garcia in the main event. We also saw the return of Lance Archer and the debut of Brody King with Malakai Black. Overall it was a good show and started feuds in new directions and added elements to others. And of course FTR with another killer promo.
