WWE Smackdown was viewed by 2,104,000 million people. That is a solid number for a Friday night. But Smackdown does well on network television. The show did a .56 in the 18-49 demo which was about 728,000 people. According to Showbuzzdaily.com WWE Smackdown was second overall in the demo on TV that night. They only trailed two late NBA games.
It was a solid show for Smackdown featuring the continuation of the storyline between New Day members King Xavier and Kofi Kingston against the Bloodline of Roman Reigns, Jimmy and Jey Uso. The main event of the show saw Xavier taking on Reigns, which ended in no contest. The lasting image was Reigns being crowned as the Head of the Table. In addition, we had more build to Survivor Series.
AEW Rampage was viewed by 515,000 people down from the previous week. The show did a .20 in the 18-49 demo which is about 264,000 people. The show was 13th on cable for a Friday night. And if you factor all television numbers in they were 21st overall. Considering this was the final show before Full Gear a little disappointing. However, Rampage is averaging between 500k-600k each week. That is pretty good for 10 pm on a Friday night.
The show featured Jungle Boy taking on Bobby Fish. As well as Matt Hardy and Orange Cassidy wrestling in a lumberjack. Plus a little tease by Hangman Adam Page and the Young Bucks. Plus the build to Full Gear.
