Bryan Danielson is All Elite. Now, who should he face?
In an amazing pair of debuts, both Adam Cole and Bryan Danielson are part of All Elite Wrestling now. Cole debuted and immediately sided with the Elite, while Danielson came in as a babyface. When CM Punk debuted we looked at three dream matches for him. All of those opponents would be dream matches for Danielson as well. So without using MJF, Kenny Omega or Adam Page, here are three dream matches for Danielson in AEW.
Jungle Boy
MJF is often mentioned as the future of wrestling and AEW. Do you know who else is a young gun who will be a fixture in wrestling for a decade-plus? Jungle Boy. He shared the ring with Bryan, helping clear the ring of the Elite to close All Out. While they’re currently both babyfaces, this would align with Danielson’s desire to work with the young talent AEW has to offer. Have these two face off when they’re jockeying for position in the singles rankings and let the money flow.

Rey Fenix
Here’s a matchup of styles that I can’t wait to see. I think the world sometimes forgets how good Fenix is as a wrestler. He’s part of the AEW Tag Team Champions now with Penta El Zero M and they had an amazing match with the Young Bucks at All Out. When he’s on his own in singles matches, Fenix has had some absolute bangers. Danielson versus Fenix would be a clash of technical proficiency and high-flying styles and could be great if they find a way to build a feud around it. Maybe that would involve Danielson becoming a tag team wrestler…
With CM Punk vs The Young Bucks
Speaking of Danielson as a tag team wrestler, please give us this. CM Punk talked about wanting to face the Young Bucks on a recent Oral Sessions with Renee Paquette (h/t SEScoops). He said he needed the right partner, and alluded to Danielson as being that guy. Danielson and Punk would be a dream team, and the Young Bucks have a case for being the best tag team in the world right now. I don’t think Punk and Danielson are tag teamers for long, but this would make a great pair.
