It’s Thursday and you know what that means… the ratings for the August 25th edition of AEW Dynamite are out.
AEW Dynamite Ratings Back Over Million Viewers
This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite was built around CM Punk, who returned at AEW Rampage on Friday, August 20th, and shot those ratings through the roof. This week’s edition of Dynamite was viewed by 1,172,000 million people. It had a.48 in the 18-49 demo which was about 620,000 viewers. Per Showbuzzdaily.com AEW Dynamite was first on cable. This is the 2nd highest rating in the 18-49 demo behind the debut episode. In addition, this was the third most viewed Dynamite in history. It trails the April 14, 2021 edition and the October 2nd, 2019 edition.
Outside of CM Punk and Chris Jericho speaking, this was a decent Dynamite show. This episode featured the Lucha Bros taking on the Varisty Blonds in an AEW World Tag Team Eliminator Tournament Semifinals. The winners would go on and face Jurassic Express. (Lucha Bros won that match).

It also saw Matt Hardy take on Orange Cassidy. Plus Malakai Black squash Brock Anderson in the main event, Darby Allin, Eddie Kingston, and Jon Moxley battling the Wingmen, the Factory vs Gunn Club (something that does need to be on Dynamite). Plus Red Velvet taking on Jamie Hayter.
Dynamite is back over the million mark for the first time in three weeks. The last two weeks of the show were just under 1 million. With more surprises along the way, let us see if AEW Dynamite can consistently get over 1 million viewers. The go-home show for ALL OUT is next week in Chicago. The pre and post PPV shows for AEW Dynamite usually do well in the ratings.
