Summerslam 2021 Predictions
It’s time for the biggest party of the summer! Everyone is invited to Summerslam, including an old man, Peacemaker, and Bad Bunny’s friend. It’s going to be a stacked show, with seven title matches on the Summerslam card.
We’ve got Evan & Javier, hosts of Crossbody of Work, here to predict all ten matches on the card. Here’s who they have walking out of Summerslam victorious:

Shock Waves in Pro Wrestling: A McMahon No Longer Owns WWE
by Full Press Coverage on September 27, 2023 at 12:00 pm

Drew McIntyre vs Jinder Mahal
Evan: 3MB explodes! I really think this feud has potential, but maybe that should be in the past tense now. I’m already ready for Drew to move onto something else, but I think WWE will extend it.
Prediction – Jinder Mahal
Javier: Just makes sense for McIntyre to win and get the big reaction since he’s still over, no? Jinder needs it more, but this is WWE, so McIntyre wins and does a “cool” sword celebration or whatever.
Prediction – Drew McIntyre

Alexa Bliss vs Eva Marie
Evan: Can I choose Lilly? No? How about Doudrop? Alright, if I have to choose I’m going to go with the obvious answer. Bliss has supernatural powers, and Eva Marie still hasn’t learned some basic moves in about a decade.
Prediction – Alexa Bliss
Javier: Everyone loses with this match taking place at SummerSlam. The biggest loser? Me. Anyways, Bliss wins because duh and hopefully I don’t have to talk about this anymore.
Prediction – Alexa Bliss

AJ Styles & Omos (c) vs RKBro – Raw Tag Team Championships
Evan: I am 100% on the Omos hype train at this point. WWE will make him a singles star and fumble the bag eventually, but for now his team with Styles is one of the best things on Raw. Randy Orton will turn on his partner because the sky is blue and it is just what he does. Enjoy RKBro while you can.
Prediction – Styles & Omos
Javier: I think AJ and Omos can go on for a while longer with whatever they got going there. RKBro is destined to end with Orton turning on Riddle, and this match is what will lead to that. Sorry, bro.
Prediction – Styles & Omos

The Usos (c) vs The Mysterios – SmackDown Tag Team Championships
Evan: I think this may be under-thinking it a bit, but as long as Reigns is the man I’m not betting against The Usos. They’ll lose their titles before Reigns, but it won’t be here.
Prediction – The Usos
Javier: Yeah this match shouldn’t be on this show and I don’t think it will be *cough cough* preshow. Usos retain because sure.
Prediction – The Usos

Sheamus (c) vs Damian Priest – United States Championship
Evan: Remember how good Damian Priest is? He is exceptional at the wrestling. Sheamus is also exceptional at the wrestling. This could be quite the contest! Give the title to Priest, return Keith Lee, let them have a feud, and print money.
Prediction – Damian Priest
Javier: I know you build things up for the babyface to win at the big show, but this just doesn’t feel like the time for Priest yet. Maybe next PPV or maybe it’ll be Keith Lee that takes the belt? I don’t know, but what I do know is taking the title off of Sheamus right now feels cruel.
Prediction – Sheamus

Edge vs Seth Rollins
Evan: This is one of the matches I’m most looking forward to. It’s a dream match, one we thought we’d never actually see. Rollins seems primed to jump back up to the world title scene soon, so let’s say he gets the huge win over the Hall of Famer.
Prediction – Seth Rollins
Javier: I am so looking forward to this match. The history, the similarities, the contrasts, the build, the promos, the talent, etc. There are so many reasons to get excited and I can’t wait to see the potential classic they put out. Hopefully, this opens the show.
Prediction – Edge

Nikki A.S.H. (c) vs Charlotte vs Rhea Ripley – Raw Women’s Championship
Evan: Nikki A.S.H. has been so fun as champion, but WWE frequently struggles to book earnest babyfaces. They job them out and make them look weak too often. I think Nikki will get the win here as a way to re-establish herself as the new top dog in the division.
Prediction – Nikki A.S.H.
Javier: Almost a champion becomes Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair because Nikki A.S.H. is leaving with the gold! My guess is tomfoolery happens and she gets beat up post-match and Becky Lynch comes back to make the save or something. Either way, the PG female Kick-Ass wins the match.
Prediction – Nikki A.S.H.

Bianca Belair (c) vs Sasha Banks – SmackDown Women’s Championship
Evan: It is Boss Time. Sasha Banks has returned to her full heel self, which is her best self. There have to be some title changes at Summerslam, and Banks dethroning Belair is one of the most likely. Also, I would have no problem with these two having a tiebreaker at Wrestlemania 38.
Prediction – Sasha Banks
Javier: Bianca Belair’s title reign has been very underwhelming. It’s not her fault, but it has been. Let Banks win and dominate as the heel on SmackDown before eventually losing to a future big star of the division like Toni Storm or Liv Morgan.
Prediction – Sasha Banks

Bobby Lashley (c) vs Goldberg – WWE Championship
Evan: It won’t be Goldberg. Please, God, don’t let it be Goldberg.
Prediction – Bobby Lashley
Javier: Just make it quick.
Prediction – Bobby Lashley

Roman Reigns (c) vs John Cena – Universal Championship
Evan: I can’t remember the last WWE match that had me this excited. Cena versus Reigns can legitimately go either way. This is the past torchbearer versus the current one. Reigns is just too dominant, too great, and too hot right now to take the belt off. Make your peace with losing, Cena.
Prediction – Roman Reigns
Javier: I want to preface this by saying that I do not think Cena will win, but I am not picking against him. With that said, BIG MATCH JOHNNY JOHN JOHN BOY IS BACK AND HE’S BREAKING FLAIR’S RECORD BAYBAYYYYY! The Tribal Chief’s reign ends just short of the year mark and we get the real face of the WWE running the blue brand. Acknowledge He Who Cannot Be Seen.
Prediction – John Cena
That’s who we have walking out of the biggest party of the summer with wins. Only three differences, with Evan going for Priest, Rollins, & Reigns and Javier going for Sheamus, Edge, & Cena. Who do you think will walk out of Summerslam victorious? Let us know on Twitter at @FPC_Wrestling.
