The Wrestling Roundup is here to bring you all the news and rumors you need to know in one place.
WWE Raw Results
The Hell in a Cell fallout show happened last night, so what did WWE have in store after an excellent show. They have a new champion in Randy Orton and a fresh set of feuds possible in their first post-draft month. Of course, Survivor Series is around the corner and it will likely be more brand warfare ahead of us. What did the show have in store? Here are the full results:
- A.J. Styles def. Jeff Hardy in a Survivor Series qualifying match
- Lucha House Party def. Akira Tozawa & Drew Gulak
- Keith Lee def. Elias in a Survivor Series qualifying match
- Hurt Business def. RETRIBUTION in an elimination match
- Drew McIntyre def. The Miz
- Lana def. Nikki Cross, Lacey Evans & Peyton Royce in a Survivor Series qualifying match
- Sheamus def. Matt Riddle in a Survivor Series qualifying match
Firefly Funhouse returned again this week, and The Fiend announced a new target through some subtle callbacks. He’s targeting the new WWE Champion: Randy Orton. The two have history dating back to when Orton was a follower of Wyatt during his first WWE Championship reign. Orton won the title from Wyatt at Wrestlemania 33, and it appears Wyatt wants revenge.
Survivor Series also appears to only be Raw versus SmackDown this year. This makes all of us sad. Bring back the intense triple threats!
Wrestlemania WWE Championship Plans
While the status of Wrestlemania 37 still is in flux, WWE’s plans for their top championship remain steady. Randy Orton is scheduled to face Edge at Wrestlemania, according to Wrestling Observer Radio (h/t WrestlingInc). These two have battled since Edge’s return in January, including in a Last Man Standing match at Wrestlemania 36. Edge has not been cleared since the two had the “Greatest Wrestling Match Ever” at Backlash in June where he tore his tricep. The conclusion of their feud being at Wrestlemania seems like a fitting end for these two former tag team partners.
Marvel & AAA Announce Collaboration
Now this puts a smile on my face. AAA has announced a new collaboration with Marvel that will see wrestlers inspired by Marvel characters join AAA (h/t Fightful). The teaser video has dropped and includes wrestlers inspired by Spider-Man, Venom, Captain America and Thanos.

The four wrestlers will make their debut at Triplemania in December.
One for the Road:
Put some respect on the name of Byron Saxton!
I’ll always be so grateful to @ByronSaxton for the way he announced my victory at WM35.
