The Wrestling Roundup is here to bring you all the news and rumors you need to know in one place.
WWE NXT Results
We are in the go-home for the latest NXT TakeOver. It’s a little disappointing that we no longer have intense names as taglines. Remember getting things like TakeOver Rival, Unstoppable, The End? Well this one is just TakeOver 31, but it still looks like a good card. How did NXT take us to the show this weekend? Here are the full results:
- Shotzi Blackheart def. Dakota Kai
- Cameron Grimes def. Joey Pistachio
- Ridge Holland def. Cameron Grimes
- KUSHIDA def. Tony Nese
- Adam Cole def. Austin Theory
- Kayden Carter def. Xia Li
- Johnny Gargano & Candice LeRae def. Damian Priest & Io Shirai
The mystery person who is returning to NXT had another vignette about their return. We still don’t know if it’s a man or woman, but it seems like they’re coming from the Amway Center. That means they’re likely from the main roster… but who?
Kyle O’Reilly even got a great promo package before he challenged for the NXT Championship. He looked particularly babyface here, so is Undisputed Era going to be on board with his actions? Adam Cole was also more babyface in his matchup with Austin Theory, so it could be a whole faction turn.
AEW Dynamite Results
Dynamite continued with another excellent show on Wednesday night. Jon Moxley had to put the AEW Championship on the line against a mystery opponent, and FTR defended their tag titles against SCU. What else went down on Dynamite? Here are the results:
- Darby Allin def. Ricky Starks
- FTR (c) def. SCU to retain the AEW Tag Team Championships
- Chris Jericho def. Isaiah Kassidy
- Orange Cassidy def. Ten
- Dr. Britt Baker def. Red Velvet
- Jon Moxley (c) def. “The Butcher” Andy Williams
Is MJF going to really be in the Inner Circle? He is getting very chummy with them lately, and seems to be over his partnership with Wardlow.
